Last day with Issy.

Today was our last day with our dancing coach Issy. For the past few weeks were leant a really superb dance. Straight after morning tea we had to do mindfulness, then we had to go to the hall. When we were in the hall we learnt another dance. We mixed some of the dances that we did in the past few weeks to the dance that we did today. We got split into groups of 1, 2 and 3. I was in one with my friend Laina. Group three had to dance first then group one then group two. After that the people that Issy chose to stay standing was Sale, Laina, Nastazia and Tama. The two best that did it very well got a lollipop and the two people were Sale and Nastazia. After all that fun we had to go back to class but before we did we got a certificate and we could go to her teaching lessons in papitoe. I really enjoyed the weeks that I spent with Issy.

It was a dazzling morning where the sun was glowing bright in the sky in 1951 in Korea. The village was deserted and the ground was dusty just like an old cupboard that hasn't been cleaned in years, the houses were filled with bits and pieces of airplane parts and mammoth tank parts.

Using a net to make a cube.

Today room 8 was using a net to make a cube. There were eight faces and twelve angles. Each point that meets the other point is called a vertex and many are called vertices. It was very challenging but I still manage and I really enjoyed making the cube.

Hensel & Gretel and the scary old wolf.

Walht: summarize and take notes.

This week we revisited writing a summary and taking notes.

My teacher read this story to us and we had to write a summary using the
‘W’ words.

Here is my summary:
One day there were two little boys called Hansel and Gretel. After their Dojo class, they went back home and found huge fox footprints and noticed that their papa was gone
.They searched in the forest to find their papa and left breadcrumbs so when they
come back they won’t get lost.

Reflection:
I think I have a good understanding of writing a summary but  need a
little more practice.

That very night in Max's room a forest grew and grew and grew until his ceiling hung with vines and the walls became the world all around.

Reading e-asttle T2 results.

I have improved in my reading e-asttle results. I have improved because I have been practicing reading at home and I also have been playing reading games. By next term I would like to get up to get above the curriculum level.

Inspiration.

Last week Friday Glen Innes school had some visitors. One of them is called Viii and the other one is called Mayo. Viii is from a radio dj and Mayo is a hip hop dancer. Their message to us was to believe in yourself and you can do it.
